Frequently Asked Questions General
Q: Application crashes all the time. Now, what to do?
A: Try to completely delete the application (hold the application icon until it starts wiggling and then tap the cross in the left-top corner of the icon). Then re-sync application from the iTunes. Application crashes might be not an app problem but the iPhone OS issue. If nothing helps, then you can try completely restore the device (don't forget to back-up everything first). Q: Application crashes and i am sure that it does so because of some bug. What's next?
A: Please go to the support page and fill the form we provide with the problem description as detailed as possible. Basically the description shall help to reproduce the problem on our devices. It is also very helpful when you send us a crash log. Q: What is crash log and where do i find it?
A: Crash log is a text file describing the last seconds of the application life before the crash. It helps us to see which sequence of events led to the crash. Crash logs sychronized from the device via iTunes have the form <App Name>_<Date>_<ID>.crash and can be found in following locations on Mac OS X and Windows boxes respectively: Mac OS X: <home_dir>/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/<Your iPhone Name>/ Windows: C:\Documents and Settings\<User Name>\Application Data\Apple Computer\Logs\CrashReporter\MobileDevice\<Your iPhone Name> top Measures Q: How do i enter negative numbers (e.g. for temperature conversion)?
A: From version 1.0.2 to 1.0.3, you could tap the app's display once and this action would change the sign of the entered number. From version 1.1.0 it is a two-step action: single tap the display to call the calculator and then tap the ( +/- ) button to change the sign. Q: How often and when the exchange rates are updated?
A: The exchange rates are updated daily. When you start Measures it would check how old the already downloaded rates are and then it will download new rates if necessary. Q: How do i change the favorites?
A: Select a category and the units and then hold the favorite button you would like to re-program for approx. 1 sec. top DoF
Q: I didn't find my camera in the list of the supported cameras. Does it make sense to purchase DoF anyway?
A: I would say: yes. Since you can also select the 'circle of confusion' value directly. Or for example you know the sensor size from your camera tech. specs. top
